TWO toddlers have been found dead inside an abandoned car in the backyard of a home in Australia.
The police described the incident as a “tragic accident” after discovering the bodies of the boys, aged 2 and 3, inside an unused car in Rockhampton, Queensland.

The two-year-old was first found unconscious and not breathing at 7.48pm last night in the backseat by family members.
He was rushed to the hospital but unable to be resuscitated and declared dead.
Police then later made the horror second discovery of the three-year-old boy lying dead near the footwell at 9.15pm.
“He wasn’t seen by the residents when they located the first child,” Central Region Crime Coordinator Darrin Shadlow said.
Shadlow confirmed that the youngsters were related but not siblings in a press conference this morning, The Mail reports.
He stated the cause of their deaths is not yet known.
“At this stage we’re still conducting investigations, they hadn’t travelled in that vehicle – it was in the rear yard of the residence.”
He explained that the car was an unused vehicle sat in the family’s backyard and its electrical systems, including windows, did not work.
“It appears that it’s a tragic accident where the children have, somehow, gotten into the vehicle and had been there for some time.”
“Early investigations do indicate it was heat related,” Shadlow added.
The investigation is ongoing.
The family of the two toddlers has been sharing heart-breaking tributes to them online.
One wrote: “I know I’ll miss seeing his face in Murgon … when you sneak around to nannies [sic] to play with the blocks in the sand and have some treats.
“You will be sadly missed tiny ones.”
Other community members also shared their grief.
“Have no words just sending out some love to my people in Woorabinda feeling heartbroken,” one offered.
Another said: “Heart aches for the whole community Woorabinda this is too sad waking up look straight on Facebook seeing all this.
“Woorabinda thinking of community too much lost.”
