The victims were taken to the  Esenyurt Necmi Kadıoğlu Hospital while the suspect remains at large.

Police teams launched an investigation and identified the attacker by examining security cameras, according to Milliyet.

Dramatic video shows the suspect attacking one of his victims before starting to run as terrified locals look on.

One of the victims, Mehmet Üstel, told the outlet: “While I was walking, a person came in front of me.

“He took out a knife and a bread knife. It seemed like he was joking when I first saw it.

“He put it in my leg and walked away. I immediately fell to the ground. Someone I have never met in my life.

“He started at 10:00 and stabbed me at 13.30. The number of people he stabbed is not clear.”

Hasan Karaca, whose daughter Çiğdem was left with injuries in her leg, said: “He stabs my child and tries to pull her bag. The shopkeepers there intervened and saved the child.

“He started stabbing in the morning. He may have gone to other hospitals. He didn’t say anything, he stabbed her directly.

“Currently, my daughter is injured in her left leg.”

Back in November a Brit allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death with a screwdriver in Istanbul’s central Fatih district.

He was seen leaving the hotel and getting in a taxi before he was captured by police.
