Up to seven tourists feared dead in horror plane crash after jet carrying ‘European family’ plunges into Thai swamp

TWO pilots and up to seven tourists are feared dead after a private jet crashed into a mangrove forest in Thailand.

The Cessna 208B Grand-Caravan took off Bangkok carrying the European family to Trat province in the east of the country some 285 km (177 miles) away.

But the aircraft crashed and burst into flames in a swamp in Chachoengsao province shortly before 3:30pm local time. Locals said they heard an explosion.

Authorities are currently searching for the missing pilot and passengers.

Local media reported that two pilots were onboard along with seven passengers.

Cops said they’ve closed the area while they search.
