AN INJURED Brit woman was rescued after she was hacked by a boat propeller while diving off a Thai island.
Aimee Louise Bacchetta, 30, was paddling off the idyllic Similan Islands in Phang Nga province when she injured her leg on a whirring boat propeller.

The holidaymaker suffered a deep wound near her right Achilles tendon.
Crew from the speedboat Saracha called the Royal Thai Navy.
Medics were rushed to the scene, where they stopped the bleeding and transported Bacchetta to hospital after carrying her to shore.
She has since been released from hospital and is recovering from the ordeal.
Phang Nga welcomed the first batch of tourists on October 15 after the area was closed for the rainy monsoon season.
The Similan Islands are a group of 11 small islands in the Andaman Sea off the coast of Thailand.
Known for their clear blue waters, vibrant coral reefs, and diverse marine life, the islands are a popular destination for diving, snorkeling, and sightseeing.
It comes after a Brit tourist, 66, was killed in a horror crash on his first day in Thailand.
The 66-year-old had recently arrived in the Southeast Asian country to visit his long distance Thai partner and friends in Chonburi province.
He went on a motorcycle ride with some pals to celebrate his arrival, but crashed into a traffic sign while turning at a U-turn slot near a bridge on the night of October 5.
The impact was said to have flung the Brit from his seat and shattered his two-wheeler.
Photos from the scene show his body on the tarmac next to the mangled wreck of the bike.
His partner broke down in tears when she saw the man had died.
She said: “He has only been in Thailand for a day.
“He went out with his friends to ride his motorcycle. I rushed here as soon as I heard the news about the crash.
“I’m devastated. I never thought he would never be coming home.”
Earlier in September, a 30-year-old Brit man from Hammermith was also killed in a horror motorcycle crash.
The 30-year-old was reportedly speeding without wearing a helmet when he lost control of his rented two-wheeler along a road in the popular Ao Nang area of Krabi.
Police Captain Thitikorn Pantubtimthong, Deputy Chief of Investigation at the Ao Nang Police Station, said cops received a report at 12.45am local time on Monday.
They found the Brit on the ground in a pair of shorts, black vest and trainers.
His damaged black Honda Click 125cc motorcycles was on the road nearby.
Paramedics performed CPR on the roadside but they were unable to revive the Brit, who was a few hundreds metres from the bustling rows of bars on the beach front where thousands of backpackers gather every night.
Meanwhile, an Australian tourist has allegedly died after smashing his head on the pavement from his Brit friend throwing a fatal punch.
The 58-year-old had been drinking beer with the Brit, 29, when they had a drunken row in front of their hotel in Pattaya, Thailand, before dawn.
The pair sparked panic as they came to blows in the street on September 27 as terrified locals watched.
The Brit reportedly threw a punch that caused the Aussie to smash his head on the pavement.
Medics were called to the scene at around 4:30am, where they found the Australian man on the ground with no pulse.
They performed CPR and rushed him to the Pattaya Memorial Hospital, but they said he could not be revived.
Police Major Tanongsak Inphadung of the Pattaya City Police Station confirmed the Aussie’s tragic death and identified his Brit pal as the suspect.
He said: “The suspect still denies the charges, but he cannot contest us because we have complete evidence.
“We have security camera footage from the restaurant and four witnesses who drank together with them.
“Tomorrow, we will request the court to detain him at Pattaya Remand Prison. He refused to say anything, even though we had an interpreter, and he will get a lawyer to defend the lawsuit.”
