AN Israeli hostage has been killed in a military strike by Israel, Hamas claimed yesterday.
The terror group said the woman in their custody had died following an attack in northern Gaza.
A spokesman for the armed wing of Hamas announced the death and warned that another hostage was also at risk.
Abu Ubaida said: “The life of another female prisoner who used to be with her remains in imminent danger.”
An Israel Defence Forces spokesman said it was investigating the report.
They said: “Hamas continues to engage in psychological terrorism and act in a cruel manner.”
Meanwhile, health officials have said that at least 120 Palestinians have died following strikes on the Gaza Strip in the past two days.
Medics said a hospital in the northern part of the enclave had been hit, injuring staff and damaging equipment.
Elsewhere, Lebanon’s health ministry said that Israeli air strikes in central Beirut yesterday killed at least 15 people, with 63 wounded.
The IDF did not comment on the casualties last night.
