A BRIT woman was evacuated by helicopter from a cruise ship after suffering a heart emergency.
The passenger was rushed by air ambulance to the Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital in Vigo, on Spain’s west coast, needing urgent attention.

The holidaymaker had been enjoying a trip on the Sky Princess boat when she fell ill 5 miles off Cape Silleiro, north-east Spain.
The huge leisure ship, with a 3,660 capacity, had recently left Vigo and was bound for Funchal, on the island of Madeira.
A Pesca 1 helicopter from Spain’s coastguard fleet was scrambled to rescue the gravely ill Brit.
The Sky Princess is operated by Princess Cruises, and began hosting cruises for the company in 2019.
It weighs a staggering 145,281 tonnes.
A statement from the Spanish coastguard read: “Our CCS in Vigo has coordinated the medical evacuation of a British woman from the cruise ship SKY PRINCESS, which had departed from Vigo heading to Funchal, 5 miles SW of Cape Silleiro.
“The Pesca 1 helicopter was mobilized and transferred her to Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital.”
The Sun has reached out to Princess Cruises for comment.
Meanwhile, video shows multiple passengers being rescued by helicopter from another Princess Cruises ship in the midst of a hurricane.
They were evacuated from the Sun Princess ship near the coast of Florida as Hurricane Milton battered the state in October last year.
It had set off from Southampton 16 days earlier.
The storm has been heading directly for the ship which was due to dock in Fort Lauderdale, north of Miami.
But due to the approaching hurricane, the dock was closed and the Sun Princess was stranded at sea.
