Beauty queen Guler Erdogan, 27, dies in horror bridge plunge while ‘fleeing police’ in Turkey after boozy night out

A EUROPEAN beauty queen has died after tragically plunging from a bridge while fleeing from police.

Güler Erdogan, 27, was caught drunk behind the wheel in Giresun, Turkey, and fell from the bridge as she tried to run away.

The “Miss Europe-Kosovo” title holder had been on a night out in her hometown to celebrate the Eid with her family, and later hit a nightclub with friends.

She tried to drive home while drunk, but crashed into a police checkpoint, according to CNN Turkey.

A breathalyser test recorded a blood alcohol level of 1.70 parts per million.

Realising she was in trouble, Güler fled the car on foot and tried to escape in the direction of an overpass.

She lost her balance and plummeted onto the road below.

Tragically, an oncoming car was unable to break in time and the young model died beneath its wheels.

Turkish police have launched an investigation into sequence of events leading up to the accident.

Güler was a well-known as after claiming the European beauty pageant crown, and also had deals with several major brands as a model.
