THE daughter of Benidorm’s Legend Sticky Vicky has taken over from her late mum and says her show has fresh tricks that have made her even more popular.
Sticky Vicky 2.0 – whose real name is Maria Gadea Aragues – has followed in the footsteps of her famous mum.

Iconic dancer Sticky Vicky passed away last year aged 80, leaving a big void in Benidorm’s entertainment scene.
Her unique career spread from exotic dancing to X-rated performances featuring raunchy magic tricks on stage.
Following her death, her daughter Maria, 42, continued her show, which was particularly popular among British tourists.
On a warm summer’s night, crowds of young holidaymakers gather outside Benidorm’s Palladium to watch the new Sticky Vicky show.
The show starts with a tribute – a collage of old photos of her late mum before Maria appears on stage.
While her performance bears a great resemblance to her mum’s famed show, she has introduced a new feature; acrobatics.
Maria told The Sun her show has become even more popular than her mum’s – particularly with women.
She says it’s not a “sexy magic show,” it’s more “artistic.”
Moments before she went up on stage, Maria told The Sun: “It’s more popular with women. For them is nice and funny.
“The people are different on the weekends, it’s big groups for parties, it’s crazier.
“But in cabarets, it’s more quiet, it’s like old Benidorm.”
Maria explains that Benidorm’s entertainment scene has changed a lot since her mum’s time and cabaret shows are not as they used to be.
She added: “Now it’s mostly young people with a different mentality, Internet mentality, TikTok mentality.
“Now it’s more discos, crazy parties, more erotic shows and not artistic shows.”
Maria believes her famous mum would be proud of her and would encourage her to continue her work.
Sticky Vicky became a legend in Benidorm after moving to Spain in the 1980s.
In her heyday, she performed tirelessly six nights a week for over 30 years.
She performed at the Costa Blanca resort which was nicknamed Little England because of the number of British tourists who visited.
In 2001, she went to court against an adult entertainer in Benidorm known as Sticky Barbara after discovering she had registered the name Sticky Vicky as hers.
Judges sided with the real Sticky Vicky in 2009 after ruling Maria Rosa Pereira had acted in “bad faith” and told Vicky Leyton she was the legal owner of the trademark.
She finally hung up her dancing boots in 2016 – days before she underwent a hip operation.
She was diagnosed with uterine cancer the following year and announced her retirement at age 72.
The Benidorm star died aged 80 after suffering heart failure in hospital on November 29.
