Mateschitz will award company employees in Austria with a whopping £2,614 bonus by the end of October.
The lucky employees received an e-mail saying: ” I am pleased to be able to inform you that this year, as well as a percentage increase in salary from 2024, everyone working in Austria will also be granted a voluntary one-off payment to compensate for inflation in 2023.”
It comes as Red Bull has had a killer year – with a 24 per cent sales increase and profit of £8.4billion.
Dietrich Mateschitz is one of Europe’s newest billionaires and was even listed by Forbes as the world’s 37th richest person.
He had inherited a 49 per cent stake in the energy drink company when his father Dietrich died aged 78 in October 2022.
Another businessman shelled out a whopping £400,000 to treat his team to luxury holidays.
Mark Neilson, 35, says he would rather splash the cash to reward hard work than see it collecting interest in a bank account.
And he reckons it will pay off in the long run because his workers will be more motivated and therefore earn more money for his life insurance agency.
This year alone, Mark shelled out £82,000 sending 50 people to Iceland, treated dozens of people to a five-star stay in Cancun and handed out £62,000 in cash bonuses.
In 2022, the “UK’s best boss ever” filmed the moment he surprised his entire team with a £7,000 trip to Ibiza, covering all costs and even throwing in Calvin Harris tickets.
The 34-year-old wanted to celebrate with his staff after the best quarter ever since his personal branding start-up, Great Influence, began in 2018.
So the generous employer forked out an eye-watering £7,000 on the sun-soaked destination, a Spanish island known for its electric nightlife and stunning scenery.
