He was among the masterminds of the horror attack on October 7 – and had directed the terrorists to kill and kidnap Israeli civilians from the Nahal Oz Kibbutz.

At least 12 civilians were killed and more than 20 went missing in the horror attack after Farhat ordered for mass shooting in the kibbutz.

Footage from the IDF shows the Israeli attack that killed the Hamas commander.

IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari announced the death of the Hamas commander.

He added: “Farhat planned and sent the terrorists on October 7 to the Nahal Oz kibbutz and nearby army post, where a cruel massacre was carried out.”

Another IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee released a chart showing the hierarchy of the Shuja’iya Brigade, as well as the leaders that have been executed so far.

In the post released on X, formerly known as Twitter, he warned the terrorists and asked them to “surrender or share the same fate”.

He added: “This notice is addressed to the leaders of the Shuja’iya Brigade in Hamas, consider this notice a final notice.

“You are all targets. The IDF will work with extreme force in your neighbourhood to destroy your terrorist infrastructure.

“Either surrender yourselves and live, or you will have the same fate as Wissam Farhat and Younis Mushtaha.”

The chart, which is in Arabic, reads the names and designations of the Shuja’iya commanders and other terrorists in the group, including those who have been killed so far.

Names on the list from right to left:

Osama Tawfeq (responsible for firing missiles)

Wissam Falrahat – killed (Shuja’iya battalion commander)

Amar Abdullah Ali Qurraeq ( Shuja’iya Deputy commander)

Ayad Majid Yousef Daher

Yousef Mushtaha – killed

Haitham Rezeq Abdulkarem Alshiekh khalel

Atea Ghazy Atya Hamdea

Farhat was the commander of Shuja’iya Brigade – one of the Hamas’ military factions – and has been leading the group since 2010.

He led the terrorist group in the 2014 Gaza war and was behind an attack that killed six IDF soldiers during the conflict.

The terrorist chief also masterminded the 2002 terror attack on Mechinat Atzmona which resulted in the killing of five Israeli civilians.

It comes after the IDF claimed to have destroyed 500 tunnel entrances to entomb Hamas terrorists.

Ground troops were reported to have entered the south Gaza city of Khan Younis for the first time.

An aerial and sea blitz – which resumed when a seven-day ceasefire ended on Friday – has hit more than 400 targets in the enclave.

Just hours after the fragile truce came to an end, the Israeli forces blitzed 200 Hamas targets in Gaza.

In Khan Younis and Rafah, regarded as Hamas strongholds, the expertly destroyed booby-trapped areas, tunnel shafts and terrorist command centres.
