British tourist, 29, ‘raped’ at Milan spa resort as cops launch manhunt for 25-year-old suspect

A BRITISH tourist has allegedly been raped at a spa resort in Milan.

The woman, 29, claims she was sexually assaulted by a 25-year-old tattooed man in the middle of the city, local media reports.

The tourist was allegedly raped at the Terme di Milano spa

She alleges the man approached her at the Terme di Milano spa while she was relaxing with a friend.

Both the tourist and the man reportedly knew each other and had consumed alcohol together.

He allegedly invited her to follow him into the men’s changing room, where he became violent and raped her, according to Italian newspaper Il Giorno.

The alleged incident is said to have occurred about 10pm on Monday.

It reportedly ended when the British tourist screamed for help and her friend came to her aid, sending the man running.

The woman reported the alleged assault upon returning to her hotel about 11pm and police commenced their search for the man.

Local reports say the alleged assailant is 25 years old and Italian-Moroccan with distinctive tattoos.

Police indicated they were able to use surveillance footage from the area to identify the man, but he has reportedly not been arrested.

CCTV footage from the spa showed the British woman follow the man into the men’s changing room and then into a bathroom stall “without opposition”, newspaper Corriere Milano reports.

The woman reportedly told investigators she was “too drunk” to resist or to give consent.

Police were ordered by the local prosecutor to seize her clothes for testing when she was taken to hospital.

She reportedly returned to England on Tuesday.
