Adidas has revealed a new bold design for the Predator Freak as part of a new collaboration with Marvel.
The Adidas x Marvel X-Men Collection, inspired by Marvel X-Men super heroes, connects the attributes of Wolverine with the innovations and specifications of the Predator franchise.
The pack update of the Predator Freak features new blockings, colours and graphics inspired by Wolverine and his enhanced physical capabilities. The new update will be worn by leading Adidas athletes including Weston McKennie and Lena Oberdorf.
As part of the adidas x Marvel X-Men Collection, a selection of renowned Marvel artists have also created a series of individual player sketches, bringing the superhuman footballing qualities of Adidas athletes to life in comic book form.
The Adidas x Marvel X-Men Collection is a design update, meaning that the technology is identical to the inline base models of the Predator Freak.
Speaking about the collaboration, Bruno Marrant, Senior Product Manager, Adidas Football said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for us to showcase the superhuman qualities of control and speed that unite some of the best football players in the world and some of the best-loved X-Men characters.
“The designs are bold and playful, using primary colours that instantly bring the world of Marvel to life while still capturing the style of the Predator franchise. We hope the new pack inspires our Adidas athletes to more superhuman performances on the pitch.”
Originally launched in January 2021, Predator Freak is a razor-sharp silhouette featuring an upper that deploys Adidas’ proprietary Demonskin rubber spikes to provide players enhanced grip. A 360-degree wrap constructions blurs the lines between upper and outsole for total ball control, while the
lace-less upper features a large strike zone so players can fine-tune the trajectory on every pass and shot.
The adidas x Marvel X-Men Predator Freak Collection is available online and in Adidas stores now starting from AED 429.
