A BRAZILIAN model faces a year in jail after she was arrested and bundled into a police van while walking her dogs topless.
She has now slammed double standards in Brazil where women are penalised and men are not.

Caroline Werner, 37, was arrested this year for walking her dogs down a busy beachside street topless, with just a t-shirt tied around the waistband of her shorts.
In the footage, the blonde amazed beachgoers in Balneario Camboriu with her eye-popping show as she strolled along the coastal road with two dogs on leads, astonishing passing bikers and motorists.
Local media reported that she was arrested by police and charged with indecent exposure after the stroll on Saturday, 13th May.
Photos show her being handcuffed by two officers before she was taken to a nearby police station.
She was given a citation for indecent exposure before being released.
Werner also claims the police violated her due process rights by not allowing her to place a phone call to her family or a lawyer.
The 37-year-old believes Brazil is too uptight and she has never before experienced a problem according to Brazilian outlet G1.
She said: “Unfortunately in my country, even though the Constitution ensures gender equality, in practice this does not happen, I cannot have the same freedom and I feel coerced into doing so by this system and the repressive interpretation of the law.”
She told the outlet: “What should be natural for both genders ends up being denied to one of them in an arbitrary and repressive manner.”
Werner, a businesswoman who also has her own bikini line, said that she’s traveled all over the world and has never before had any problems being topless and was shocked when she was detained in the South American country.
“In many countries, it is a completely normal practice,” she said. “A woman’s body is not objectified and hypersexualized.”
The Santa Catarina state prosecutor’s office is handling the case and has offered her a plea deal but Werner, who has since moved from Balneário Camboriú, said she did not attend the hearing.
Her attorney said she was not notified of the hearing and is requesting a new date.
Werner said that the whole incident is blowing up online, where videos of her strolling topless are swirling around the web.
She said: “What happened to me, the abuse of authority and judgment by society, demonstrates how the interpretation of the law itself reflects gender conduct dictated by patriarchal, violent culture, in relation to the control of female bodies.”
She faces up to a year in prison and a fine.
