US aircraft carrier strike group and warplanes looms off coast of Iran as Ayatollah suddenly turns on Hamas

A US aircraft carrier strike group and warplanes have been spotted looming off the coast of Iran.

USS Dwight D Eisenhower is now in the Gulf of Oman, only about 300 kilometres from Iran after Ayatollah suddenly turned on Hamas.

The nuclear-power aircraft carrier strike group was dispatched to the Middle East after passing the Suez Canal on November 4.

It then stopped to train with the Gerald R. Ford strike group in the Mediterranean Sea but has now arrived in the Arabian Sea this week.

Footage from US news channel Wavy shows the American aircraft carrier cruising through the Gulf of Oman.

The USS Eisenhower, which has scores of fighter jets, is being escorted by two missile destroyers, a missile cruiser and an advanced submarine, Haaretz reports.

Together, they are armed with hundreds of cruise missiles capable of hitting targets in most of eastern and central Iran.

America has other cards up its sleeve as it has other aircraft carriers and bomber planes strategically positioned somewhat near Iran.

The USS Ford is reportedly stationed near Cyprus, the USS Bataan in the Red Sea and a B-1 bomber has been deployed to Turkey.

It comes after Iran’s supreme leader turned on Hamas, delivering a clear message to the terrorist group’s head, Reuters reports.

According to three senior officials, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said: “You gave us no warning of your October 7 attack on Israel and we will not enter the war on your behalf.”

Ayatollah told Ismail Haniyeh that Iran – a longtime backer of Hamas – would continue to lend the group its political and moral support, but wouldn’t intervene directly.

The supreme leader pressed Haniyeh to silence those voices in the Palestinian group publicly calling for Iran and its powerful Lebanese ally Hezbollah to join the battle against Israel in full force, a Hamas official told Reuters.

Earlier this month, an American nuke sub also arrived in the Middle East.

US Central Command said an Ohio-class submarine was entering its area of responsibility.

The official social media post appeared to show the sub in the Suez Canal northeast of CairoCNN reported.

“On November 5, 2023, an Ohio-class submarine arrived in the US Central Command area of responsibility”, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

The Central Command area includes the Middle East.

The post did not name the submarine, but the US Navy does have four Ohio-class guided missile subs.

Weeks before that,  a massive “Western Armada” of 19 warships was massing in the eastern Mediterranean.

The monster fleet sent by NATO allies includes the world’s largest aircraft carrier, elite guided-missile cruisers, destroyers, frigates, and support ships.

The American military is also increasing its firepower in the region, looking to prevent Iran and groups backed by the nation from getting involved in the war.

The US empire of steel includes a network of bases in the Middle East with 2,000 troops, 2,400 Marines, and 13 warships now on alert.

A few A-10 Warthog and F-15E attack planes arrived in the region.

More advanced military aircraft was expected to join.

In late October, the United States had also told some 2,000 troops to be ready to deploy within 24 hours if notified – instead of the usual 96 hours – and could include units that provide assistance like medical aid if needed, a US official said.
