According to a statement made by the Khortysia group, the incident occurred near Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, on July 23.

The video of the incident was shared on X (formally known as Twitter).
According to the statement, anti-air units shot the plane down as it was attempting to fire on Ukrainian positions.

The Soviet-designed Su-25, nicknamed “Frogfoot” by NATO, is a heavily armored ground-attack aircraft.
It has seen extensive use by both sides in Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
