Brit left fighting for life after steam train carrying tourists derails in Argentinian mountain range

A BRITISH man is fighting for his life in intensive care after a train carrying dozens of tourists in Argentina was derailed.

The vintage steam train crashed in a mountain range on Saturday with 53 people on board.

53 people were on board at the time of the crash

The Brit was taken to a hospital in Ingeniero Jacobacci where he was treated for minor injuries before he was transferred elsewhere for more serious care.

By Sunday morning his condition had worsened significantly, according to local reports.

Four other tourists from the group were taken to different hospitals near the Rio Negro province after the horror crash.
