Her family said she returned to the clinic in Istanbul for a check-up but suffered a heart attack in a taxi on the way to the hospital with her partner Bradley Jones who desperately gave her CPR.
She was rushed into intensive care but doctors were unable to save her and she was pronounced dead on Monday.
Demi, of Little Hulton, Salford, Gtr Manchester, is believed to have suffered a series of heart attacks caused by a fat embolism despite doctors saying her surgery last Thursday had been a success.
The mum-of-three, who gave birth to her youngest son just seven months ago, had flown to Turkey having previously undergone dental work, which had been botched, and other surgery.
Today her heartbroken brother Carl, 37, told how her family and partner had tried to persuade Demi not to have the work done – and warned anyone else thinking of going to Turkey for surgery “Don’t do it!”.
The dad-of-four said: “It is tragic what happened. We are just in shock. She went to Istanbul to have it done.
“She had previously gone to have her teeth done. No one wanted her to go out and have it done but she is one of those people.
“Her partner is still out there and his dad has just flown out there to be with him.
“If anyone is thinking of flying to Turkey for an operation I would say don’t do it! Even her boyfriend didn’t want her to do it.
“But she is 26 and has her own mind. Her mum didn’t want her to go out either.
“We have been told that her boyfriend had to do CPR on her in a taxi.
“We think they both went back to the clinic for a check up and that she collapsed in the clinic.
“They put her in a taxi with her partner. Something happened in the taxi. She couldn’t breathe.
“He had to do CPR. I don’t know if she came round and died in the hospital. That is vague. We don’t know the full details.
“I think there will be a coroner’s report over there. Her partner needs a death certificate before she comes home.
“She is only 26, she shouldn’t have die. Just don’t do it, it’s such a high risk. She should never have done it. She has left three young kids.
“I was just told this morning. Her two eldest children were away with their dad and came home early and have been told. She also has a seven-month-old baby.”
Younger sister Georgina posted an emotional tribute video on TikTok showing Demi.
She wrote: “I lost my sister yesterday. I miss you so much Demi. Nothing feels real anymore. How can you be gone.
“Just wanna hear you shout alright Rkid nothing with ever be the same without you I love you Demi x.”
Demi and her siblings had only recently learned that their mum Christine had beaten a cancer fight.
A source said: “Demi’s family and partner are heartbroken. The doctors had told her the operation was a success and she was recovering for a few days as you’re not allowed to fly home straight away.
“She had been due to fly home to her children on Monday. At 4.30am on Monday she woke up in a lot of pain so her partner rang a taxi.
“It looks like she died in the taxi. He tried to give her CPR on the way and they rushed her into intensive care but they couldn’t save her and she was pronounced dead in the early hours.
“The hospital doctors believe she suffered a fat embolism which impacted her lungs and put stress on her heart, causing the heart attacks.
“She’s left behind three young children. People need to understand how dangerous surgery abroad can be.”
Today friends paid tribute to Demi, who is the latest Brit to tragically die in Turkey following cosmetic surgery.
Megan Holland posted on Facebook: “Shine down so bright on your beautiful boys Demi Agoglia & send them the strength they will need to get through this, I can’t get you off my mind, more needs to be done about these f***ing stupid companies.
“You was perfect already & now you’re not even here.”
Linda Breeze said: “Omg heartbroken RIP Demi Agoglia you was loved and will be missed by so many.”
Shelby Flannagan added: “What a cruel world we live in. Even tho we haven’t really spoke this past year we have had so many memories over the years!
“Lots of crazy nights and mischief in our younger days. You was the life of the party and such a funny wild person.
“Thinking of your little boys and your family and friends at this hard time. Rest in peace Demi Agoglia.”
The Foreign Office was contacted for comment.

What is a Brazilian Bum Lift?
Brazilian bum lifts have increased in popularity in recent years thanks to curvaceous celebrities like Kim Karadashian.
Medical studies have shown a BBL operation – which cost around £3,500 in Turkey but £10,000 in the UK – carries the highest risk of all cosmetic surgeries with more than one death per 4,000 procedures.
The surgery sees surgeons insert silicone-filled implants and/or inject fat transferred from other parts of the body.
Other British women who have died following a BBL in Turkey include Melissa Kerr, 31, from Gorleston, Norfolk, in 2019.
A fatal clot travelled to her lungs following a £3,200 procedure at an Istanbul clinic.
Leah Cambridge, 29, suffered a blood clot during a £6,500 Brazilian butt lift surgery in Turkey.
The mother-of-three, from Leeds, died in August 2018 after having fat extracted from the waist and injected into the buttocks.
But she suffered a fatal complication when fat was accidentally injected into a vein, causing her to have three heart attacks on the operating table.
In 2022 The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) issued new guidelines to members following a four-year halt on BBLs being performed in the UK due to concerns over the death rate.
It recommends surgeons only inject fat below the skin rather than deep into muscles like a BBL.
